Services To Be Held Friday For Fred A. Damrow
Fred A. Damrow, 74 year old Torrington resident passed away Tuesday morning at a Scottsbluff hospital.
He was born at Adams, Nebraska on September 8, 1894. He homesteaded in the Moore Springs community north of Fort Laramie in 1916, and was married to Vera Williams at Julesburg, Colo., May 10, 1917. The family moved to Torrington in 1957.
He was christened in the Lutheran faith.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Torrington with the Rev. Donald B. App officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery.
Odd Fellow services will be conducted by Encampment Lodge 16.
Survivors include his widow, one daughter, Elva Brickman of Wheatland; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Johnson of Ft. Laramie, Mrs. Frank Beal of Wheatland, Mrs. Willis Scott of Torrington, and Mrs. Fred Ford of Cheyenne; five brothers, Ollie and Art of Torrington; Lloyd of Ft. Laramie, Ray of Eugene Oregon and Herman of Portland, Oregon; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the West Nebraska General Hospital School of Nursing.
The Colyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
