L. Robert Crow Dies Friday; Services Tuesday
Lloyd Robert Crow, 64, died August 13 in Michael Manor Nursing Home in Douglas. Funeral service was held this Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk and were presided over by Branch President John McCoy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery with Harmony Lodge #24, Lusk, conducting Wyoming Graveside Services.
Invocation was given by John Norton of Lance Creek. Speakers were Mr. McCoy and David Jones with benediction offered by Fred Newcomb and grave dedication by Aaron Fry of Manville.
Organist was Mrs. A. F. DeCastro who accompanied Jean Norton, Wyona Overman and Judith Johnson as they sang "Oh My Father" and "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd"
Casket bearers were Ed Cook, Robert Templeton, John Lorenzen, Henry Stiles, Fred Sheaman and John Overman.
Mr. Crow was born on October 15, 1906, in Ferris, Hancock County, Ill., to Maime (Cunningham) and Levi Axton Crow. He grew up in Ferris, coming to Wyoming in 1926 as a young man of 20. He worked in Lance Creek at the old Carbon Black and later worked for the Continental Oil Company.
He was married to Evelyn Wilda Swan on June 6, 1931, at Hot Springs. They lived at Lance Creek until 1946 when, due to illness and a partial disability, the family moved to Lusk.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Crow, Lusk, and Ronald Dean Crow, Cheyenne, and 10 grandchildren. His parents, his wife, a brother Lowell Marion Crow and two sisters Erval and Zelma Crow died previously.
