Lynn L. Swartz

Former Brule, Nebraska resident Lynn L. Swartz, 82, of Laramie, Wyoming, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 5, 2022, in the North Colorado Medical Center at Greeley, Colorado.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Olinger Mount Lindo Cemetery at Morrison Colorado.

Lynn was born March 15, 1940 , at Nebraska City to Jack and May Ruth Magoon. Lynn grew up on a farm at Lusk, Wyoming, and following high school, she attended business college. Then, she went to work with the finance department oat Lowry Air Force Base.

She was a co-truck driver with her husband, Leon Swartz. Leon and Lynn moved to Lake McConaghy, where she lived for 35 years and became a manager for Grandma Max's Restaurant.

She loved going to all the sporting events her son, Jeff, played in during high school and you could hear her cheering him on into the next state.

Lynn looked forward to spending the summers with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren at the lake or spending time in Colorado.

She enjoyed the interaction of her part-time work as a waitress-bartender into her retirement.

She moved to windy Wyoming a couple of years ago. Why you ask? "We still don't know."

She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Lynn is survived by her son, Jeffrey and Allisa (Steward) Swartz, of Big Springs; three grandchildren, Jessa Swartz, of Denver, Colorado, Brodie Swartz, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Racquel Swartz, of Big Springs; and a son, Richard West, of Colorado.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and May Ruth Magoon; her husband, Leon Swartz; a sister, Jeanette Wilburn; and two brothers, Bruce Magoon, and Terry Magoon.

A visitation will be held 8:30 until 9 a.m. July 2 in Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary at Centennial, Colorado.

 A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Assembly of God at Big Springs.
