William A. Brown

This community was shocked on Tuesday when it was announced that W.A. Brown, an old and respected citizen of Manville had passed into the great beyond at 5 o'clock p.m. of that day after a short illness occasioned by the inability of the digestive and excretory organs to perform their functions. Deceased was born near West Greenwich, Conn., Sept. 4, 1829, and was 71 years, three months and seven days of age when he died. he is the father of four sons, who are prominent business men. In the death of Mr. Brown the community looses a good man, The sympathy of the entire neighborhood is extended to his bereaved wife and children. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church of Manville at 11 o'clock yesterday morning and were conducted by the Rev. C.H. Nellor of this place.
