HENRY T. GRAY LAID TO REST SATURDAY AFTERNOON

All that was mortal of Henry T. Gray, one of the pioneer settlers of eastern Wyoming, was laid to rest in the Lusk cemetery on Saturday afternoon, the services being conducted from the home. Rev. Blen??? officiating. A couple of solos were rendered by Mrs. Crinklaw, after which to services were turned over to the Masons, who then performed the last rites for their brother in this order.

The beautiful floral tributes were indicative of the esteem in which Mr. Gray was held by his friends and neighbors. His going home was not a surprise to those who knew him as he has been an invalid for some time, death coming as a release, one that he had hoped for for some time. May he find the rest and peace for which his weary soul  had longed.

The following year he moved to a farm in Nebraska which  he worked two years, returning to Lusk early in 1891 and taking a homestead six miles south east of Lusk, where he lived until his death. He took an active interest in public affairs, serving twice as County Assessor of then Converse county and four terms as State representative, twice from Converse county and twice from Niobrara county.

He had been a member of Harmony Lodge No. 24 A. F. & A. M. for thirteen years and took a great interest in its affairs and higher affiliated orders being a member of Wyoming Consistory No. 1 at Cheyenne and Korein Temple A. A. O. N. M.
