Leila May Gartrell
Leila May Gartrell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Gartrell, was born at Buffalo, Wyoming, November 5,1907, and died in St. Joseph hospital at Alliance, Nebr., May 31, 1923 being 15 years, 6 months and 26 days of age.
In 1920, Leila moved from Buffalo with her family and during the few years she lived here made many friends.
During her sickness which was of several months duration, she was always patient and showed much fortitude.
She leaves to mourn her loss her father and mother and two brothers, Orville and Earl.
The remains were brought back to Lusk and services held in the Community church, with R.H. Williams, minister of the Congregational church officiating. Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery with Leila's friends as pall bearers.
Many beautiful floral offerings were sent in loving memory of this young girl whose earthly existence was so brief.
