Services for Hailey G. Coldiron, age 81, were conducted Oct. 27, 1993, at First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, Wyo., by Rev. Dr. Tom Phillips. Burial was at the Gillette Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
Mr. Coldiron died Oct. 23, 1993, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper following a brief illness. He was born Oct. 14, 1912, at Page, Nebr. to Renick and Rozetta O. "Keslar" Coldiron. In 1918, the family moved to a homestead south of Gillette where he received his education at rural schools and helped his dad who was employed at Salt Creek Freightways.
While helping his family develop the homestead until the 1930's, Mr. Coldiron also worked for Shorty McGinnis at Powder River and was a sheepherder for George Brandner.
On Aug. 16, 1932, he married Margaret Rhoads in Rapid City, S. Dak.
From the late 1930's, until his retirement in 1982, Mr. Coldiron farmed, ranched and raised sheep. The couple also maintained a residence in Gillette. He had lived in Douglas for the past several months.
Mr. Coldiron was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Gillette Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Douglas; three daughters, Sandy Lange of Douglas; Peggy Sullivan of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Rae Broyles of Lusk; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
Memorials to the McComb Retirement Center of Douglas would be appreciated and may be left with Noecker Funeral Home, Box 734, Gillette, Wyo. 82717.
