Mrs. Tinnin Dies in Torrington After Operation

Death Calls Mother of Well-Known Eastern Wyoming Rancher

Was Thought to be Improving After Returning From Hospital at Denver Recently

Lusk friends of Granville Tinnin were grieved to learn that his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Elizabeth Tinnin, age 74 years, passed away in Torrington, Wednesday evening, November 11, 1925.

Mrs. Tinnin had been seriously ill for several months and was recently taken to Denver where she underwent an operation after which she was brought back to Torrington, but her age, combined with the seriousness of the illness was more than her constitution could stand.

She is survived by three children, Granville Tinnin of south of Lusk,; Buff Tinnin of Rushville, Nebr.; and Mrs. Faye Fisher of Houston, Tex. All of the children were at her bedside when the end came, and they accompanied the remains to Georgetown, Tex., where the body was laid to rest beside that of her husband, who died about eight years ago.

Mrs. Tinnin has spent much of her time in Wyoming during the last few years with her son Granville, and had made many friends here who  mourn her loss and extend their sympathy to the bereaved ones.

PIONEER WOMAN BURIED AT GEORGETOWN

Georgetown, Nov. 16, 1925

The body of Mrs. John Tinnin, a pioneer citizen of this place, arrived Saturday night from Cheyenne, Wyo. She died at the ranch home of her son, Granville Tinnin, near that city.

Funeral services were held at the Tinnin home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, conducted by Rev. Gaston Hartzfield of San Angelo, formerly of Southwestern University and a close friend of the family.

Mrs. Tinnin was in her seventieth year. She leaves two sons, Granville Tinnin, Buford Tinnin of Nebraska, and a daughter, Mrs. A. S. Fisher of Houston. Her husband, John Tinnin, who died several years ago, was a prominent stockman of this section and of Wyoming. He was a partner for many years of the late John Sparks, late governor of Nevada.

We understand that John Tinnin, who lives near Rushville, Nebraska, has bought the O 10 Bar ranch south of Lusk and all the cattle and other livestock of C.F. Coffee, the price paid being unknown. Mr. Tinnin arrived here the first of the week and went out to take charge of his possessions. This is a big transaction and the price paid must be something like $75,00 or $100,000.
