LITTLE GUNN BOY PASSES AWAY
Little Franklin Gunn, small son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gunn, who live about thirty-five miles north-east of Lusk, passed away at the Lusk Hospital last Friday, after a short illness. The little boy had been ill some time with what was thought to be an earache, but when he was brought to the hospital it was found that his condition was serious.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, February 2, from the Peet undertaking parlors, with interment in the Lusk Cemetery. Rev. B.F. Farrar of the First Baptist Church officiated. The Misses Avaley Johnson and Emma Bump sang two songs and some of the folks from Fairview sang the closing song. The pallbearers were Howard Weymouth, Robert Templeton, James Tinney and Harry Olinger.
Many friends and neighbors from the Hat Creek and Fairview communities came to pay their respects and offer sympathy to the bereaved parents.
Franklin was born in Lusk on May 27, 1926, and fell to sleep on January 31,1930, aged 3 years, 8 months and 4 days. Beside his parents he is survived by three sisters, Florence, Mary and Dorothy, and one brother, Hugh. The bereft family has the sympathy of the entire community.
