Funeral Services Held For Miss Thompson
The funeral of Miss Thea Thompson, who passed away on May 14, was held at the Kirtley Hall in Kirtley at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with a large number of friends from Kirtley and surrounding territory and Lusk present.
Rev. Edwin Irwin of the Lusk Congregational Church had charge of the services, and George Earl Peet Mortuary made arrangements. Interment was made in the family plot in the Kirtley Cemetery.
The pallbearers, all old-time friends were O.P. Harnagel, Ray Christian, Harry Fancher and John Lohr, Joe Leeling and Ralph Olinger.
Thea Thompson, who departed this life on Wednesday evening, May 15, 1930, was 38 years 8 months and 8 days old. Death was due to chronic myocarditis. She was born at Lusk, and grew to young womanhood here. Her mother, father, and three brothers have preceded her in death. she leaves to mourn her loss two brothers, Lewis Thompson of Lewiston, Idaho; Arthur Thompson of Kirtley, and two sisters, Mrs. J.P. Costlow of Cheyenne and Mrs. Don Taylor of Lusk.
