R.Z. Westerman of Van Tassell Died Friday
Ross Zaccheus Westerman, 38, prominent Van Tassell rancher, passed away at the Lusk hospital, Friday, June 10th.
Mr. Westerman had been in ill health for a long time and about a week prior to his death had entered the hospital where he underwent a major operation in the hopes that it might save his life.
The deceased came to Wyoming in 1921 locating in Goshen County, south of Van Tassell where he has resided since that time.
The esteem in which he was held was shown by the large number of friends and neighbors who attended the funeral service which were held in the Congregational Church of Van Tassell on Sunday, June 12th at two o'clock.
Rev. Jenkins of Lusk read the funeral service and the arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary.
Burial was made in the Van Tassell cemetery, beside his father who preceded him in death nine years.
Mr. Westerman had never married but made his home with his mother, Mrs. Mary Westerman, who survives him. He also leaves one brother, Hugo Westerman of Leadville, Colo., and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Grapes and Mrs. Welchie Patterson of Van Tassell and Mrs. Florence Cox of Denver, Colo.
He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews and cousins besides a host of friends.
