William "Bill" C. Blackmore

Bill Blackmore was born September 1, 1933 in Midwest, Wy to Theron and Lola Blackmore. They moved to Lusk in 1937 where Bill was raised and educated.

Bill joined the National Guard June 8,1951 and transferred to the Marine Corps on January 29,1953, served in Korea and was discharged on July 22, 1956. Bill was very proud to have served his country.

Bill had lived in Denver for about 25 years and died on July 23, 2018 at Broomfield Skilled Nursing facility from complications of diabetes. Family services will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on August 1, 2018. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Thera and Shirley and brother John as well as nephews Norman, Jay and Brett. He is survived by his brother Gene of Ft. Collins, brother Bob and wife Barbara of Northglenn, and sister Marcia Gunderson and husband David of Land O Lakes, Wi., and many nieces and nephews.
