Catherine Clark Dies Friday at Home in Casper
Funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Catherine Clark, former Manville resident, who died at her home in Casper on January 17, at the age of 67.
Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated at the services. Mrs. O. M. Rasmusen and Beryl Fullerton, both of Manville, sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "God Will Take Care of you," accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.
Pallbearers were Leo Alexander, Alvin Alexander, Floyd Alexander, Oscar Alexander, Harold Foy and Bill Foy, all nephews of the deceased.
Catherine Jane Alexander, the daughter of George and Jane Alexander, was born in Fife, Keith, County of Banff, Scotland, on December 15,1879. After the death of her father when she was four years old, she came to the United States with her mother, brother, and grandparents. The made their home in Knox County, Nebraska, until 1904, when they moved to North Platte, Neb. In 1905 she was united in marriage to Fred J. Clark. They were the parents of eight children, six sons and two daughters.
She came to Wyoming with her family in 1919, and lived in the Manville and Flattop community until 1930, when the family moved to Douglas, and later to Casper, where she made her home until her death.
Mrs. Clark had four sons who served in World War II, and lived to see them all back home. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one half-brother and one half-sister.
Left to mourn her passing are her eight children, Raymond of Seattle, Wash.; Fred, Ralph, and Gordon of Casper; Cecil of Wendover, Nev.; Robert of Elk Basin, Wyo.; Mrs. Ruth Phinney of Compton, Calif.; and Mrs. Grace Humberson of Casper. Two half-sisters, Mrs. Edith Foy of Flattop, and Mrs. Esther Main of Sterling, Colo. One half-brother, Dan Tenney, also of Sterling; Mrs. Rena Alexander and family of Manville, eleven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Interment was in the Manville Cemetery.

Funeral services were held in Lusk Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Kate Clark, who passed away at her home in Casper Friday evening. Although Mrs. Clark had been in ill health for some time, her death was quite sudden. Mrs. Clark lived in the Flattop neighborhood for many years before moving to Casper to make her home. Interment took place in the Manville Cemetery. Mrs. Joe Foy of Flattop is a sister of the deceased.
