Mother of Evalyn Lang dies in Neb.

Minnie Allen, 89, died Saturday morning, Jan. 27, at the Mitchell, Neb. nursing home. She was the mother of Evelyn Lang of Lusk.

The Rev. Bill King officiated the funeral services held Monday Jan. 29, at the Collyer[sic] Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.

Minnie was born Jan. 5, 1890 in Douglas County, Neb., the daughter of George and Sarah Tabler . She married Louis Allen on Dec. 24, 1906 in Fremont., Neb.

They moved to Wyoming in 1913 where they homesteaded near the Prairie Center community north of Torrington. They moved to Torrington in 1954 when they retired form the farm.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lang and Mrs. Helen Duncan of Torrington; a son, Edward of Torrington 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and 11 step great-grandchildren.
