Son of Mrs. Charlotte Galbraith Succumbs Tuesday in Chicago to Attack Of Blood Poisoning
Word was received in Lusk Wednesday of the death of Morris Galbraith, 20 years old, in Chicago Tuesday, from blood poison. He is well known in Lusk, where he attended school, and is the son of Mrs. Charlotte Galbraith, formerly a resident of Lusk.
Blood poisoning is given as the cause of his death, but no details of his illness were available. He had just recently completed a course in an electrical school in Chicago, and was holding a position in an industrial establishment in that city when he contracted an infection from a slight injury. His mother, Mrs. Charlotte Galbraith of Omaha, was with her son at the time of death.
The funeral will take place in Schuyler, Neb., Friday, Dec. 9.
Morris Galbraith graduated from the Lusk High School two years ago and was a young man of sterling qualities, highly respected, and with a host of friends here who will sincerely mourn his untimely death.
Morris was an intelligent young man with a bright future. While attending college in Chicago to become an engineer the same as his father, he died of blood poisoning. As a teenager, he'd worked with his father on building their own radio in the early days of radio. This helped him to develop an interest in engineering. Morris was well-liked by his high school classmates, according to an autograph book he left behind. He was very much missed by his sister Alice throughout the rest of her life.
