Last Rites Held for Mrs. Bryant
Mrs. Dave Bryant, 80, of Manville died sometime Friday night of a self-inflicted bullet wound. According to Sheriff Harold Rogers, investigating officer, the body was discovered by her husband in the barn after finding a note on the kitchen table. A 22 caliber pistol was found laying beside the body.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel in Lusk with the Rev. Robert Boutwell officiating. Casket bearers were Lloyd Tschacher, A. C. Frye, Bert Kaper, Fred Sheaman, Elmer Nelson and Alvin Alexander. Burial was in the Manville Cemetery.
Frances Bryant, daughter of Peter R. and Mary C. Davin was born on May 15, 1893, in Manville. She was a lifetime resident of Niobrara County, her death taking place at the same location as her birth. She homesteaded on Little Lightning Creek and was still in possession of that property.
She married David M. Bryant on April 16, 1929 at Casper.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband; three nieces, Mary Edenfield, Casper, Marren Dunlevy, Salt Lake City and JoAnn Monroe, Cleveland, Ohio; two nephews, Bill and Jack Edenfield, Casper. Her parents and her only sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Sharp, died previously.
