Death overtakes Mrs. Helen Towne at Home of Her Parents, Thursday, June 23
Mrs. Hellen Gwendolyn Towne passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. N. McConaughey, on Thursday, June 23rd.
She was born in 1885 at Knoxville, Ia. On June 20, 1910 she was married to Arthur D. Towne at Des Moines, Ia. To this union was born one daughter, Hildred.
After a spell of serious illness, she came to Lusk some few weeks ago with the hope of regaining her health. Permeous anemia is given as the cause of her death.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Arthur D. Towne, one daughter, Hildred, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. I. N. McConaghey, two sisters, Mrs. George Cans of Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. Katheryne Clark of Edgerton; and three brothers, Paul, Joe and Theodore, all of Lusk.
Services were held Sunday, June 26th at the funeral parlors of the Midwest hardware company, with Rev. H. H. Koontz officiating. Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.
