Betty Marie Brooks

Betty passed away on December 12, 2015 in Casper, Wyoming. She was born June 4, 1934 in Chapman Kansas. She was the daughter of Joseph W. Frazier and Opal M. (Dalton) Frazier. Betty was one of six children, Louie, Roberta, Tom, Carolyn Frazier and William Sherraden. She graduated from Chapman High School.

Betty met and married Ronald "Dean" Brooks during his military years at Fort Riley, Kansas. Together they had two sons.

Following Dean's military service, Betty and Dean settled their home in Casper, Wyoming. Betty was the manager of Kline's for Women store for over twenty years. She built and maintained friendships with her customers that continued through the years. Always with a cheerful smile and a kind word, especially to children, she was well known and loved by many. As a mother and grandmother, she always was quick to remind her family of her love for them, nearly constantly.

Surviving siblings include Roberta (Wilbur) Christensen of Linwood, Kansas and Louie Frazier (Pat) of McPherson Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husband Dean, and her sister Carolyn (Gene) Moser, and brothers Tom (Darlene) Frazier, William and Teed Sherraden and step-daughter-in-law Toni Brooks.

Immediate family survivors include her son Ronald D. Brooks Jr. of Casper, Wyoming and granddaughter Laura Lynn Brooks (Ryan) Higgins of Alliance, Nebraska and great-granddaughters Macy and Dawsyn; and son Douglas E. Brooks (Lisa) and grandchildren Daniel Everette Brooks of Houston, Texas and Brian Robert Brooks of Denver Colorado; and step-son Steve Brooks and his children Michael, Brian, Stephen and Heather.

In lieu of flowers memorials would be welcome at Central Wyoming Hospice.

Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lusk Wyoming. A memorial service will be held this summer in Casper, Wyoming.
