Mrs. Dora Tatum Dies Saturday
Mrs. Dora M. Tatum, 75, of Jay em, died Saturday in the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital from a lingering malignancy. Graveside services were held Monday afternoon with burial in the Lusk Cemetery. Richard Scott of the Church of Christ officiated.
Pallbearers were Bob Newell, Charles Bass, Willard Robinett, Bob Wolfe, Bud Peterson and Bing Barr.
Dora Madaline Chaffee Tatum was born March 8, 1883 at Wayne, Nebr., the second child of Orrin E. and Catherine Chaffee. The family moved to Fairfax, S.D. in 1901.
She married T.O. Tatum at Lincoln, Nebr., in 1906. they were the parents of one child, Orrin W., who died in 1933. They homesteaded in the Moore Springs area in 1918. Mrs. Tatum has lived in Jay Em since 1935.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Florence Jonas of Long Beach, Calif. and other relatives.
