Margaret "Madge" Elizabeth Purdy

Margaret E Peet was born Jan 21 1892 near Springview Ne. to Marlin & Pauline Catherine Peet & died at her home Sept 26 at Dell Rapids SD at the age of 82 years eight months & four days.
She grew to womanhood in Keya Paha county & attended Springview Public School & the normal school at Fremont, Ne.
She was married to George Purdy May 10, 1910 at Springview. They resided on a homestead in Tripp Co SD for three years & over the years resided in Wyoming Nebraska & S Dakota. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband George; three daughters, Mrs Martin (Gwen) Morse, Dell Rapids SD; Mrs John (Ruth) Mower, Lincoln; Mrs Eleanor Svien, Dallas Tex; six grandchildren & eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents an infant son a grand-daughter & five brothers.
Funeral services were held at Dell Rapids SD Sept 30 with the Rev Don Plantings officiating and graveside rites at the Ainsworth Cemetery with the Rev E. Allen Magill officiating.
