MRS. THRASHER DIES IN DOUGLAS
Mrs. Carrie Thrasher, 76 years of age, passed away at the Douglas hospital Tuesday morning, April 3, after being in failing health for some time. Two weeks ago she was taken to a convalescent home in Douglas and two days before her death she entered the hospital.
Her husband, P.A. Thrasher, passed away January 25, 1939, at their home in Keeline, and for the past few years Mrs. Thrasher has lived in Lusk, making her home at the Jess Rice residence. She also spent part of the time with her daughter, Mrs. Joe Stallman, of Harrison, Neb.
Mr. and Mrs. Thrasher were married in Nebraska in 1887, coming to Wyoming in 1914. They settled on a homestead in the Keeline community. Since Mr. Thrasher's death, a son, Harold of Keeline, has also died.
Two daughters survive, Mrs. Joe Stallman of Harrison and Mrs. H. C. Wolfe of Sheridan.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Peet chapel this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:00, with rev. Lawrence P. Juell officiating.
Burial will be made in the Jireh cemetery beside her husband.

CARRIE THRASHER RITES CONDUCTED
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Thrasher were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Thursday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of the Misses Minette and Justine Watson, Betty Stallman and Rosemary Voorhees, accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.
Burial was made in the Jireh Cemetery and the casket bearers who conducted the remains to the last resting place were long-time neighbors and friends. They were: Hardy Lee, Eugene Willson, Jess L. Rice, Gus Deitchler, Chester Wright and Palmer Cox.
Mrs. Carrie Coover Thrasher passed away at a Douglas hospital on April 3, 1945, after being in declining health for a number of years, but had entered the hospital only two days before her death.
She was born in Leon, Decatur County, Iowa, November 21, 1869, being at the time of her death 75 years, 4 months and 21 days.
February 23, 1887, she was united in marriage to Pline A Thrasher. four children were born to them, Ina, Harold, Eva and Helen. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ina, and son Harold, and her husband passed away in January, 1939.
After their marriage the couple first made their home in Lincoln County, Nebraska, later moving to Hitchcock County. In 1914 they moved to Wyoming, locating on a ranch near Keeline, where the family resided until recent years.
The survivors include her daughters, Mrs. H. C. Wolfe of Sheridan, Mrs. Joe Stallman of Harrison, Neb., a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Isabel Thrasher and son Paul of Jay Em; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one nephew and several nieces.
