Sad Bereavement

Words fail to express the public sorrow which was felt here when it was learned last Friday morning that Mrs. Anna Lohr, wife of John Lohr, had passed away in the early hours of the morning after the birth of a fine, healthy baby girl. The sad occurrence took place at the home of her mother, Mrs. M.A. Grimes, in Lusk, where she had come to have proper medical attention. Mrs. Lohr was a native of Philadelphia, Penna., where she was born in 1877. She was married to John Lohr about 18 years ago, and 11 children, boys, and girls, were born to their union. Their home was on Pleasant Ridge where Mr. Lohr has a fine farm.

The funeral services, which were held Saturday morning in the Congregational church at Lusk, were attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends. The services were simple and appropriate; Rev. S. Burman Long drew some timely inferences from the sad occasion; the choir sang the old beloved hymns, "Nearer, my God, to Thee," and "Asleep in Jesus;" and Richard Gray rendered a beautiful solo, "Thy will be Done." There were some beautiful floral offerings. The pall bearers were A.L. Miller, P.E. Barber, T.H. Thompson, H.C. Snyder, Ed. C. Daley and S.E. Porter. Interment took place at the Kirtley cemetery.

Resolutions of Sympathy
Pleasant Ridge Camp No. 614 W.O.W.

Whereas it has pleased God to call to himself the spirit of Mrs. J.H. Lohr, wife of our neighbor J.H. Lohr, Therefore be it resolved that the members of Pleasant Ridge Camp NO. 614 W.O.W. extend to our bereaved neighbor, his children and other relatives our heartfelt sympathy in their hour of sorrow, and be it further resolved that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved family, one copy in the Lusk Herald, and one copy to the Harrison Sun for publication and that a copy be spread on the records of our camp.
