He parents were with her when the end came and the remains were brought back to Lusk and funeral services were held on Sunday. The services were attended by an immense crowd, many of whom could not get into the church.

Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery, with the Peet Mortuary in charge.

OBITUARY
Ruth Garnet Schley was born on the ranch, eight miles south of Lusk, October 28, 1915, and spent practically all her life in this vicinity. A year's absence spent in travel with her parents is the only break.

After graduating from the Eighth grade, she entered the Lusk High School and had she not fallen ill she would have been a member of the present Senior class.

During the month of February, of 1931, she became a victim of heart trouble and spent more than fourteen months in bed - eleven weeks of that time receiving medical treatments in Denver, Colo.

Apparently she had been improving up until Sunday, April 3, when it became known that she was sinking. Her parents were sent for and arrived Wednesday evening. She seemed to rally when they came, but it soon became apparent that the end was near and she slipped peacefully away early Thursday morning, April 7.

Ruth was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Julius F. Schley, widely and favorably known on the South Divide. On February 3, 1929, she joined the First Baptist Church of Lusk and was a consistent member until her death. Of a sunny disposition she enjoyed a wide circle of friends who will mourn her death.
