Henry N. Crabb passed to his reward the morning of July 28th, 1913, at his home, 7 miles southeast of Lost Springs, Wyo. Mr. Crabb was born in Ohio on Oct. 25, 1946, thereby being 66 years, 9 months and 3 days old at the time of his death.
When he was 9 years old his parents moved to Indiana, and at the age of 22 deceased settled in Iowa where he was united in marriage to Miss Eleanor Shane on Sept. 30, 1869. To this union were born nine children, seven of whom are still living: Henry C. Crabb of Schuyler, Nebr., Anna Woolever of Burr Oak, Mich.; Mary Applegate of David City, Nebr.; Ray and Floyd Crabb of Van Tassell, Wyo., and George Crabb of Lodge Pole, Nebr.
Deceased was a recent settler in Wyoming and was highly respected by his neighbors and was ready when the Master called him to answer the summons, "It is enough, come up higher to the mansion prepared for you."
According to the Lusk Herald article published August 26, 2015, Mr. Crabb donated the land for the Prairie View Cemetery. See article in the Historical Section of this website, under "Prairie View Cemetery - Good samaritans bring cemetery back to life"
