Cecelia G. Shaffer
Mass of Christian Burial for Cecelia G. Shaffer, 94, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church by the Rev. Camillus Ellspermann, O.S.B. Cremation has taken place, and Rite of Committal will be conducted in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
She died Aug. 18, 2003, at Life Care Center of Casper.
Born July 18, 1909, in Spalding, Neb., she was the daughter of John Martin and Ina (Wise) Kinney. She attended college for two years and became a school teacher.
On Aug. 28, 1933, she married Levi Soloman Shaffer in Harrison, Neb. They moved to Casper in 1942.
Her interests included fishing, gardening, cooking, sewing, reading and travel.
Survivors include two daughters, Elnora Wolfe of Casper and Joan Whitaker of Bar Nunn; three sons, LeRoy of Mills, and Donald and William of Casper; a total of 101 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and her parents.
Memorials may be sent to Life Care Center, 4041 S. Poplar, Casper, 82601, or left at Bustard's Funeral Home and Crematory, which is in charge of arrangements.
