Gertrude R. Wasserburger, a long time Ardomore, SD resident died April 17, 1987 in the Rapid City Regional Hospital at the age of 91 years.
Gertrude was born June 4, 1895 in Ardmore, SD to Michael O'Connell and Henrietta Gayhart O'Connell.
Gertrude and Herbert J. Wasserburger were married on October 21, 1915. They celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary last October. To this union were born eight children.
She is survived by her husband Herbert, her eight children, Vincent of Ardmore, SD; Laurine Hartman of Armore, SD; Vera Kleist of Alta Loma, CA; Anna Mumm of Yutan, NE: Letha Collins of Garden Grove, CA; Hazel Anderson of Rapid City, SD; Dale of Hemingford, NE; and Dallas of Rapid City, SD, and numberous grandchildrenm, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
she was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, one grandson and one great grandson.
A rosary service was held at the VandeBossche Funeral Home in Edgemont, SD on April 20, 1987. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Ardmore April 21, 1987 with the Con. Celebrants Reverends Dovid Orians and Craig Cower. Burial was in the Montrose, NE cemetery.
