Funeral services for former Niobrara County resident Annabelle C. Brunke were held today, Jan. 20, 1993, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Boulder, Colo. Rev. Neal F. MacLachlan of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church officiated. Services concluded at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder. Following interment, a reception was held at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church for all friends and family.

Brunke, 81, was born Nov. 5, 1911, in Hooper, Neb., the daughter of Adolph and Lora (Wiegand) Hinrichson. She died Jan. 16, 1993, at Boulder Manor Health Care Center in Boulder.

She was retired from Neodata of Boulder and was also a homemaker. She had been a resident of Boulder since Jan. 1, 1952, coming from Lusk and Lance Creek, Wyo., area.

Her parents were early homesteaders in the Lance Creek area and she and her family lived in Lance Creek and Lusk for many years. Her sister, Frances, married John Sturman. The Sturmans were another longtime homestead family.

She is survived by her husband, Hilbert "Hib" Brunke of Boulder; one son, Darwin Brunke of Wheatridge, Colo.; one sister, Lorita Miller of Fremont, Neb. and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 1590 Broadway, Boulder, Colo. 80302, or to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church School, 1680 Balsam Ave., Boulder, Colo. 80304 would be appreciated by the family.

Crist Mortuary of Boulder was in charge of arrangements.
