DIES WHILE ON VISIT TO LUSK RELATIVES

Monday morning at the one o'clock I. Snook, of Douglas, died in Lusk while visiting at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Henderson, about three miles southwest of town. Mr. Snook was here on a visit when he was taken with an attack of acute dilitation of the heart.

Obituary

Mr. Isaiah Snook was born in Indiana, Nov. 1, 1845, died in Lusk, Wyoming July 5, 1920, being 74 years, 8 months and 4 days old. He left Indiana with his parents when one year old and settled in Nebraska Co., Iowa. Enlisted in the Civil war in 1861 and served for a term of 18 months.

While serving his fellow countryman as a soldier, he had the misfortune of losing his left arm which has caused him to go through life maimed, yet without complaining.

After returning from the war he took up a homestead near Fairbury, Nebraska where he met and married Amanda Metzker in 1875.

To this union were born eight children of which seven still survive, his wife and one child preceding him to the grave. Those living are John Snook of Douglas, Wyo., Ambrose Snook of Chadron, Neb., Fred Snook of Concordia, Kan., Mrs. C. A. Henderson of Norfolk, Nebr., Miss Elsie Snook of Lusk, Wyo., and Will Snook of Woonsocket, S. D. Besides his children, he leaves, 20 grandchildren and a host of friends.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. F. Hamby at 2 o'clock Thursday, July 8th, at the Baptist church of Lusk, Wyoming. Interment was made in the cemetery.
