Mrs. Baughman Dies Here Tuesday
Mrs. Elizabeth Mathilda Baughman, 87, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Crittenden of Lusk, on Tuesday, January 13.
She suffered a fall which resulted in a broken hip nearly a month ago, and the effects of the shock and her advanced age resulted in her death.
She was born at Frankfurt, Indiana, November 19, 1860, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Douglas, and when a young woman was married to Azamaboth Baughman.
Among her survivors are her daughters, Mrs. Crittenden of Lusk, and Mrs. Evie Provost of Lance Creek.
Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel this Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Mann Flint officiating.

Mrs. Baughman Services Held Wed.
The last rites for Mrs. Eliza Matilda Baughman were conducted from the Peet Chapel Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 14, with Rev. Mann and Grace Flint of the Open Bible Standard Church officiating.
Miss Neoma Taylor and Mrs. Edna DeCastro, composed a duet who sang, "Asleep In Jesus" and "Nearer My God To Thee." They were accompanied by Mrs. H. J. Templeton.
The casket bearers were Mr. Shockley, C. E. Marvin, John Rice, Jesse Rice, Matt Bast and Albert Penn, and interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.
Eliza Mathilda Douglas was born November 19, 1860 in Frankfort, Indiana. In 1878 she was married to David A. Baughman and the young couple moved from Indiana to Missouri and then to Oklahoma where they lived for several years. In 1927 they came to Wyoming and homesteaded north of Lusk. Mr. Baughman died in 1931 and for the past 15 years Mrs. Baughman has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Eva Provost of Lance Creek.
Several weeks ago Mrs. Baughman broke her hip and complications with her advanced age resulted in her death.
She died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Claude Crittendon, of Lusk, where she was being cared for, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the age of 87.
Mr. and Mrs. Baughman were the parents of ten children, five of whom survive. They are F. B. Baughman of Oklahoma, R.A. Baughman of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Hazel Ayers of Artlington, Calif., Mrs. Eva Provost, Lance Creek, and Mrs. Ruby Crittendon of Lusk.
Thirteen grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren also survive.
