Marilyn Grace (Raney) Cockreham

Marilyn Grace (Raney) Cockreham passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the age of 82, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on June 6, 1928 in Johnson, Kansas, the daughter of Fredrick and Ella Raney, they preceded her in death.

Marilyn attended Johnson High School in Johnson, Kansas and graduated in 1946, and continued her education at Kansas University until she married in 1949. On April 3, 1949, she married Hobart Cockreham and they made their home in Wyoming. To this union three children were born, Steven Douglas, Randall Lee, and Deborah Diane. She lived in the Lusk, Wyoming area and raised the three children.

Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church, and PEO, both of Lusk, Wyoming. She enjoyed flower gardening, and was always remembered for the years of involvement in her children's activities and the loving care she gave to her family, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Raney and her mother, Ella Raney.

She is survived by her brother Charles (& wife Judy) Raney of Weskan, KS; her sister Melva Jean Tuggle of Denver, CO; two sons, Steven (& wife Janis) Cockreham of Indianapolis, IN, and Randall (& wife Terri) Cockreham of Castle Rock, CO and one daughter, Deborah Diane Cockreham of Ft. Collins, CO.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM (MST) at Fellers Funeral Home LLC, Syracuse, KS.

There will be no Visitation.
