Raymond B. Christianson

Funeral services for Raymond B. Christianson, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 1991 at the Colyer Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Flom officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Memorial gifts to the Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family. Christianson died there on Sunday, Jan. 13, 1991.

He was born June 21, 1906, in McPherson County, Neb., the son of Robert B. and Helen (Harvey) Christianson and he grew up and went to school in that area. He married Anna Schwartz in 1929 and they lived on a homestead in Niobrara County, Wyo. In 1954 they moved to a farm near Huntley, Wyo. In 1966 he moved to Torrington where he operated home rental property. The couple were later divorced. He married Mary Sokol on March 30, 1978, in Casper, Wyo. He retired in 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Torrington; two sons, LeRoy and Carl, both of Lusk, Wyo.; step-sons, LeRoy Sokol of Torrington and step-daughter Betty Munroe of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fern Seegrist and Bernice Bigler and one step-son, John Sokol.

Friends may call at the Colyer Funeral Home Wednesday (today) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
