Services for Elvira Brown Here Friday

Mrs. Lyle Holland of Denver arrived in Lusk on Wednesday, accompanying the remains of her mother, Mrs. Elvira Brown, who passed away in Denver on Sunday, October 3.

Funeral services will be held from the Peet chapel on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Clyde Hampton of the Baptist Church officiating.

"Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages" will be sung by Patricia Taylor, Palmer Watson, Betty Allender and Gerald Bardo, with Mrs. J. P. Watson as accompanist.

The casket bearers will be Oscar Jones, Clyde Zimmmerman, Christ Ruffing, Ira Thomas, C A. David and Henry Wasserburger.

Burial will be made in the Lusk cemetery beside her husband, Elmer J. Brown, who preceded her in death exactly eight months.

Mary Elvira Hogg was born Sept. 17, 1878, at Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the daughter of John and Harriet Lucy Hogg. With her parents she moved to Wyoming in 1894, locating north of Lusk on the Cheyenne River.

She was married to Elmer J. Brown at Edgemont, S. D., in October, 1899.

She is survived by four children, Mrs. Everette Bird of Hat Creek, Mrs. Clarence Zurcher, Bellevue, Neb.; Mrs. Lyle Holland, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Grace Bancroft, Cheyenne, Wyo. Two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Brewster and Mrs. Mike Marchant, and one brother, Ethan Hogg, all of the Cheyenne River community.

Mrs. Brown had been in poor health for a number of years and was making her home with her daughter in Denver.
