Helen Ruth Rainey Davis

On Friday, March 26, 2010, Helen Ruth Rainey Davis went to be with the Lord when she passed away at the Niobrara Health and Life Center in Lusk. She was 94 years old.

She was born in Moyers, Okla. Dec. 24, 1915, one of nine children. She graduated from Glenrock High School in 1935, and married Roy R. Davis at the Nazarene Church in Casper Oct. 20, 1936. To this marriage six children were born.

Helen was active in the Glenrock Fundamental Baptist Church. She played the piano and helped in the nursery. She was very devoted to her family. Survivors include two sisters: Mary Rock, Casper and Betty Hansen, Arvada Colo.; five children: Don and Maggie Davis, Lusk; Dick and Trudy Davis, Shingletown, CA; Desta and Chuck Stephen, Golden Valley, AZ; Dewey and Connie Davis, Sun City, CA; and Dixie Pressley, Talladega, AL; fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one son-in-law, three sisters, and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held in Lusk at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Tom Strock officiating. Special thanks are given to Niobrara Health and Life Center for the excellent care that was given to Helen. Those wishing to make a memorial may make it to Niobrara Health and Life Center.

Memorial services for Helen Ruth Rainey Davis will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Lusk with Pastor Tom Strock officiating. Mrs. Davis passed away at Niobrara Health and Life Center Mar. 26, 2010.

Memorials may be made to Niobrara Health and Life Center.
