Ann Barrett's Father Dies of Heart Attack
John Clarence Martinez, long time resident of Rawlins, and father of Mrs. James Barrett, of Lusk, died in the Rawlins Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Dec. 23, after suffering a severe heart attack Dec. 17.
Martinez, 73, was an electrical contractor in Rawlins until he retired four years ago. He was a member of the Knights of Couumbus for 53 years and a member of the Elks Lodge 609 in Rawlins.
He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Barrett, Mrs. Bard Farrell, Cheyenne; Mrs. Larry McGovern, Cambridge, Mass.; and Miss Mary Martinez, Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Walter Martinez, Santa Rosa Calif., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Rawlins at the Catholic Church Saturday morning and interment was made in the Rawlins cemetery.
