Thomas Ammons Dies In Colorado Monday
Thomas E. Ammons, former resident of Van Tassell and brother-in-law of Mrs. James Christian and Roy ZumBrunnen of Kirtley, died at his home in Englewood, Colo. Monday a.m., August 3.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Olinger Mortuary in Denver Thursday afternoon.
Upon receiving word of Mr. Ammons' death, Mrs. James Christian, Roy ZumBrunnen and his wife prepared to leave for Colorado Tuesday morning. Enroute, they met Mrs. Del Bigelow of Scottsbluff, Nebr., in Torrington. Mrs. Bigelow, sister of Mrs. Christian, Mr. ZumBrunnen, and Mrs. Thomas Ammons, accompanied them to Englewood.
Thomas Everett Ammons was born October 5, 1895. He resided with his parents in the Van Tassell community, where they did some of the early dry farming in that area. He was preceded in death by his father, a son, and one brother.
Survivors include his widow, Edna ZumBrunnen Ammons; his mother, who makes her home in Englewood at the Ammons' residence; and the above mentioned in-laws.
