Funeral Services For Mrs. Glenn Held On Sunday

Mrs. Josephine Grant-Glenn, 19-year-old wife of Orvel E. Glenn of this city, passed away at the Lusk hospital at 11:10 o'clock Friday morning, June 23 following an operation several days previous. Her death came as a sorrowing shock to many friends as well as to the immediate family She had reached her nineteenth year the day before her passing.

Mrs. Glenn had given birth to a son on May 17th last, and developments subsequent to the birth necessitated an operation on Monday, June 19th. From that time on her condition grew continually worse, until the end came on Friday morning. General septicemia was given as the cause of demise.

Deceased is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Grant of Jireh. She was born and raised and received most of her education in that community. She also attended high school in Manville, graduating with the class of '30. She then took a normal training course in Manville and also at Laramie, later teaching school in the west part of the county.

She was united in marriage to Orvel Glenn at Ft. Collins, Colo., on September 18, 1931, and he, with the infant son, survive. Besides her parents, Mrs. Glenn is also survived by three brothers, Robert, Maurice, and Neil, and three sisters, Francis, Mary Eleanor and Mrs. Joseph Harding, the latter of Des Moines, Ia.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church in this city at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 25th, Rev. Edwin F. Irwin, pastor, officiating. George Earl Peet of the Peet Mortuary, had charge of funeral arrangements.

From the church here, the remains were conveyed to the Jireh cemetery, where burial services were conducted, the remains being lowered to their final resting place at 3:45 p.m.

At both the church and grave, a mixed quartette composed of Mrs. H. J. Templeton, Mrs. Abdon DeCastro, Gus Howard and R. A. Faulk, sang several numbers. Mrs. James Edwards, from Keeline also sang a beautiful solo at each of the services. Mrs. Hans Gautschi accompanied the singers at the church service.

The pallbearers were Virgil Shoopman, Claude McFarlane, Ivin Brahms, Clem Mosier, Gordon Hargraves and Hans Gautschi.
