Judge C.O. Brown Dies at Douglas
Judge C.O. Brown, 86, prominent lawyer of Douglas, and former District Judge, was found dead in his home last Wednesday noon after he had failed to answer his phone. He apparently died of a heart attack earlier that day or sometime Tuesday.
He moved to Douglas in 1907 where he practiced law since except for six years serving as Judge of the old Sixth Judicial District. He was well known in Lusk.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Cleone Dunlavey of LaJunta, Colo., Mrs. Eileen Spears of Casper, and Mrs. Wilma Preston of Lyons, Neb. His wife died Sept. 27, 1951, just a few months after they had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
