Brother of H. L. Joiner Dies in Neb.
H. L. Joiner left on Saturday for Nebraska City, Neb., upon receiving word of the death of his brother, O. W. Joiner, who died at the Hines Veterans Hospital in Chicago.
He had been in poor health for many months and confined to a hospital at Lincoln, Neb., for some time before being taken to Chicago.
The deceased and his family resided in Lusk for nearly a year during Lusk's oil boom days of 1918. While here he followed the trade of a painter and also conducted an orchestra. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War and was about 67 years of age.
Funeral services were held in Nebraska City on Tuesday, January 22, and burial was in Wyuka Cemetery of that city.
