L. C. Jacox, Well Known Oil Man, Dies in Casper Sat.
L. C. Jacox, 63, independent oil lease broker, died Saturday night in a Casper hospital where he had been taken following a heart attack earlier in the day.
Mr. Jacox made Lusk his home for about 10 years, living at the Ranger Hotel while residing here. The past few years he has lived in Casper where he was associated with Frank Gorman and was in charge of the Casper office.
He was born at Bassett, Nebr., in 1859 and was married in Ft. Morgan where he lived until coming to Lusk. He was a member of both the Elks and Masonic lodges of Ft. Morgan.
Survivors are his wife; a son, L. C. Jacox, Jr., of Lovettown, N. Y., and a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Canatsey, of La Mesa, Calif.
Funeral services were held in Ft. Morgan at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.
