Bud Bourret dies Aug. 11

Francis John "Bud" Bourret, 74, died Friday at the Chadron Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.

The funeral was being held this Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Hargarten officiating. Memorials have been established to the Harrison Ambulance Fund and the Cancer Fund.

Mr. Bourret was born at Harrison Dec. 20, 1903, the son of James F. and Jennie Lucy Bourret. He grew up in the Harrison community and graduated from Sioux County High School in 1923.

He was married to Lucy Fern Eberspecher on October 22, 1927, at Douglas, Wyo. three sons and two daughters were born.

Surviving are his widow Fern of Harrison; sons Bill of Glenrock, Wyo., Larry of Cheyenne, and Jim at Long Beach, Calif.; daughters Bonita Broderick of Harrison and Key Andrews of Gillette, Wyo.; one brother James L., of Kimball, Nebr.; two sisters, Grace Powell of Kimball, and Ina Marie Copley of Sidney, Nebr. There are 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one granddaughter and two grandsons.
