Rosemond Glendy

Rosemond Glendy, 76, of Lusk, passed away on March 27, 2008, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County. Cremation has taken place by Kane Funeral Home and memorial services were held by the family on April 2, 2008 at the Lusk Elks Lodge in Lusk.

Rosemond was born in Crawford, Neb. to Charles and Florence Thomas on July 13, 1931. She married William "Bill" Glendy in Crawford on Aug. 19, 1950.

Rosemond had worked as a cook in Chadron, Neb. for Job Corps, as a secretary of Rings By United, at a dental office, and for the youth bowling coordinator, as an Avon consultant, was a caregiver for Grandpa and Grandma Wilder, and was activities coordinator for the Niobrara Senior Center, Sunshine Center, and Sunshine Tours. Rosemond was also a Cub Scout leader. She was a member of the Catholic Church, the Eagles, the Does, the Hospital Auxiliary, and Rawhide Jamboree. She enjoyed music, traveling, crafts, and bowling.

Rosemond was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Kelly Glendy (Virginia) of Sheridan; her daughter Donna Dooley (Edward) of Spring Creek, Nev.; her grandchildren, Amber Browning (Tom) of Roy, Utah, Keri Petty (Jeff) of Casper, Riley Osborne of Billings, Mont., Glendee Anne Osborne of Las Vegas, Nev., and Billie McKown (Matt) of Chino Valley, Ariz.; her great-grandchildren, Tazia and Triston Browning, Jadon, Kyleigh, and Kyle Petty, and Rilee Anne McKown; her step-brother, Richard Thomas of New York City, NY; her brother-in-law, Harold Glendy of Crawford, Neb.; her aunt Delilia Siekert Reynoldson; her uncle, Donald Reynoldson; her niece and two nephews; and numerous cousins.
