Hazel Margaret Weymouth
Mrs. Weymouth dies on 91st birthday
Hazel Margaret Weymouth, school teacher for 44 years, died November 17 at the Niobrara County Nursing Home in Lusk on her ninety-first birthday.
She was a member of Eastern Star for 54 years, a member of the Congregational Church and the P.E.O.
The Rev. Frank Blish officiated the memorial service held in the Peet Mortuary Chapel Monday afternoon, Nov. 20. Mrs. Minerva Watson, organist and Mark Lohr, soloist, provided the music. Mr. Lohr sang, "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset."
Interment was in the Lusk cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Templeton, Jennings Ruffing, Lee Johnsonbaugh, Roy Johnson, Ben Sturman and Dave Lorenzen.
All memorials are designated for Niobrara County Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 17, 1887 at Pawnee City, Nebr., the daughter of John and Jenny Howard. She married Carl Weymouth July 3, 1913, and they moved to Niobrara County in 1917, homesteading northeast of Lusk. She settled in Lusk in 1920.
Mrs. Weymouth received her education at Fremont Nebraska College, the University of Wyoming and the University of California at Berkeley.
She is survived by one son Howard and his wife Thelma of Lusk.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, one brother Gerald, and one sister Ruth Klemke.
