Graveside services for Grace Elizabeth Wilkison, 75, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Dellview Cemetery in Manville with Pastor Mark Lohr of Lusk officiating. Mrs. Wilkison died on Oct. 14, 2007 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne.
She and her twin brother, John Lohr, were born on Feb. 6, 1932, at Kirtley to Harlan and Ruby (Hanson) Lohr. She attended school in the Kirtley Area and graduated from high school in Hemingford, Neb. She then attended two years of college then was married Feb. 9, 1952 in Hemingford to Clifford Wilkison.
They made their home in Manville until after Clifford's death. She then moved to Cheyenne in 2004.
Grace and Cliff owned and operated the Mobil Station in Lusk for about 10 years; and later Grace had the Ranger Cafe at the Ranger building, where she was famous for her homemade pies. She also drove the school bus at Manville, enjoyed crafts, and loved time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicky Wilson (Gary) of Cheyenne, Ruby Wilkison (Dave Pedri) of Rock Springs, Juanita Snyder (Doug) of Cary, N.C.; three sons, Steve Wilkison (Donna Tucker) of Gillette, Dallas Wilkison (Beverly) of Reno, Nev., and Randy Wilkison (Andrea) of Laramie; two brothers, John Lohr of Lusk, and George Lohr of Madison, Geo.; sister Edna Kazandjian of Yorba Linda, Cal.; and sister-in-law Dorthy Lohr of Lusk. Thirteen grandchildren; Rick Wilkison (Megan), Michelle Montierth (Sean), Tiffany Butters (Dan), Justin Wilkison (Sarah), Jeromy Wilkison, Brittney Delaney (John), Janet Wilson, Diana Wilson, Amanda Wilkison, Kelby Wilkison, Brady Wilkison, Hannah Snyder, and Alison Snyder and seven great-grandchildren; Dayton, Tanner, Landon, Mckinley, Joshua, Macoy and Irish; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Wilkison, parents, two brothers, Walt Lohr and Gene Lohr, and two sisters, Mary Porter and Ida McAdo.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The First United Methodist Church of Cheyenne. Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of the arrangements.
