Graveside services for Helen K. Porter were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Harrison Cemetery in Harrison, Nebr. with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating.
Mrs. Porter died Wednesday, Jan. 30th in Memorial Hospital in Casper. She was born April 23, 1899, in Harrison, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Davis. She attended schools in Harrison and later attended Normal School at Chadron, Nebr. She then taught school for a time.
Helen married Forest Porter May 14, 1921 in Harrison. To this union ten children were born. Mrs. Porter had lived in the Poplar Living Center in Casper for eight years prior to her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four daughters, one son, her parents, one sister and one brother.
Survivors include: three sons, George Porter of Carbon City, Utah, Willard Porter of Lusk and Wendell Porter of Needham, Mass.; two daughters: Phyllis Hall of Douglas and Shirley Hansen of Joilet, Mont.; eleven grand-children, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
