Ira Teter Dies In Lusk Monday

Ira Teter, 85, a resident of Niobrara County since 1917, died Monday morning in the Memorial Hospital. Mr. Teter had been staying with his daughter, Mrs. Albert Meier near Keeline recouperating from surgery. He was brought back to the hospital Saturday evening when he became ill.
Funeral services will be held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery.

Services for Ira Teter Held In Lusk Thurs.
Funeral services for Ira J. Teter were held at 2:00 p.m. last Thursday at the Peet chapel with Dallas Swisher officiating.
Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Miss Phyllis Johns sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. A, F. DeCastro was organist. Pallbearers were Anthon Hansen, Floyd Simon, Rulo Roberts, Roy Turnbull, Everett Allen and Frank Taylor. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.
Ira J., son of Samuel and Phoebe Teter, was born in Bloomington. Ill. March 3, 1875. He married Anne Florence Umphenour February 27, 1901. He was a teamster in Kansas before moving to Wyoming to homestead northeast of Lusk in 1917. They made their hone on the ranch until 1945 when they moved to Lusk. Mrs. Teter died March 12, 1959.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Meier of Lusk; a son, Allen Teter, of Hutchinson, Kan.; five brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
