Mrs. Charles Lund Dies Thurs.

Mrs. Charles Lund, Sr., 72, of Node, died Mar. 28 in the Spencer Hospital. She had been in poor health for some time. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Rev. Jacob Nein officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Carl Peterson and Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb sang "In the Garden" and "Have Thine Own Way." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.

Pallbearers were William Speerly, Fred Bruegger, Clarence Sides, Carl Bruch, Roy Turnbull and Ray Walter.

Myrtle Leona McDonald was born March 23, 1887, in Apple Creek, Ill. When a young girl she joined the Methodist Church. Early in her youth she came to Cripple Creek, Colo. with her parents. They remained here for a short while, moving to Deadwood, S. D.

She married Charles Lund in 1908. They were the parents of two children. In 1914 the family moved to the Node community and homesteaded. They have made their home here since that time.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ray Freeman of Lusk, one son Charles Lund, Jr., of Node; six grandchildren, Kenneth and Donald Freeman, Leona Schuyler, Larry, Brenda and Kathy Lund; three great grandchildren, Cindy, Pam and Rick Schuyler. One sister, Mrs. Andrew Christesen of Lusk and one brother previously died.
