Lyle Bell Dies
Word was received this week by Fred Hansen of the death on Nov. 22 of Lyle Allen Bell, 81, in Provo, Utah. Bell had homesteaded in the Node community, and he and Helen A. Schoen were married in Lusk on Nov. 1, 1922. In 1929 they moved to Provo where he was an assessor and city inspector.
He was born in Vail, Iowa, to Robert and Minnie Bell on Sept. 10, 1894. He received his education in Iowa and South Dakota schools and the University of Wyoming. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Story Lodge and a Shriner.
Bell is survived by his widow, two sons, Ian L. Bell, Fresno, Calif., Karl E. Bell, Denver and five grandchildren.
Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery with military rites accorded by the American legion Mendenhall Post No. 13.
