Frances Worley, Lusk dies Monday memorial service is this afternoon

Memorial service for Frances (Mrs. Evan) Worley will be conducted today, May 12, at 2 p.m. at Peet Mortuary Chapel. Mrs. Worley died Monday morning at Niobrara Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Frances G. Worley was born on a ranch north of Harrison, Neb., on July 31, 1914, the daughter of Charles and Alma Henry.

She enjoyed her youthful years on the ranch, loved horses and was an expert equestrian. She attended grade school and one year of high school in the country before moving to Harrison where she graduated from Sioux County High School in 1932.

June 29, 1948, Frances and Evan J. Worley were married in Gering, Neb. Evan taught school and they lived in Harrison and Chadron, Neb., Lusk and Redwood City, Calif. They retired and returned to Lusk in 1975 and have lived here since.

The Rev. Frank Bozart will officiate at the memorial service this afternoon. Minerva Watson will be organist, and Blanche Ladwig will sing "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden."

Interment will be in the Lusk Cemetery. Pallbearers are Don Larsen, John Bourret, Pete Meier, Robert Bramlet, Don Whiteaker, and Dale Jordan. Honorary bearers are Mrs. Worley's three grandsons, Timothy Price, Richard Price, Thomas Price and her nephews, Phillip Henry, Paul Henry and Robert Babcock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and two brothers, Hank and Charles Henry.

Survivors include her husband Evan; daughter Suzanne Price and son-in-law Richard Price of Lusk; one sister, Mrs. Rita Wise and husband Charles Wise, Redwood City, Calif.; brother, John Henry and wife Opal of Cheyenne; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Marcella Fitch and husband Glen Fitch, Harrison; brother-in-law, Loren Worley and wife Geri of San Carlos, Calif.; three grandsons, Timothy Price, Cheyenne, Richard and Thomas Price, Lusk; two nieces, Janet Babcock, Menlo Park, Calif. and Mary Hayne, Cheyenne; three nephews, Phillip Henry, Harrison, Robert Babcock, Menlo Park, Calif.; and Paul Henry, Cheyenne, one great-nephew, Christopher Babcock, Menlo Park, Calif., one uncle and several aunts and cousins.

Flowers or memorials to the Niobrara Senior Center will be equally appreciated by the family.
