David "Dave" Frank Wilson

D. F. Wilson Dies Sunday Services Wed.

D. F. (Dave) Wilson, 83, Lusk businessman for thirty five years, died February 6 at the Natrona Memorial Hospital in Casper.

Funeral services are being held at the First Baptist Church this Wednesday conducted by the Rev. Fred Bolinger and Masonic services by members of the Harmony Masonic Lodge. Soloist, Tim Johnson is singing "The Old Rugged Cross", "Asleep in Jesus" and "Nearer My God To Thee" accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist.

Casket bearers are Robert Black, L. T. Bonner, Martin Glandt, Lee Johnsonbaugh, Richard Montgomery, Jim Meyers, Charles Vaughan and Clarence Mangus.

Honorary pallbearers are Henry Wasserburger, Sr., Vic Centers, C. E. Marvin, Robert Sturtevant, Harry Fernau, Sr., Harry Austin, J. P. Watson, W. W. Culver, Andrew McMaster and John Jassman. Burial is in the Lusk Cemetery.

David Frank Wilson was born November 7, 1888, in Dane County, Wis., the youngest of eight children born to Frances White and Martha Harrap Wilson.

In 1910 he moved to South Dakota, where he was married September 1, 1914 to Margaret Schied. They had two children, Mrs. Eddon (Louise Olive) Hasson, Woodburn, Ore., and Earl Wesley Wilson, Concord, Calif. Mrs. Wilson died in the "flu" epidemic in 1918.

In 1919 Mr. Wilson moved to Douglas, Wyo., where he worked for Charles Clark as a sheet metalist for 18 years.

On February 14, 1922, he married Grace Richardson at the home of her parents in Keeline. Four children were born to this marriage, Mrs. Hugh (Ruth Muriel) Snow, Lusk, Mrs. Gene (Grace) Ellen Powers, Yankton, S. D., Mrs. Henry (Lorraine Opal) Wasserburger Jr. Lusk and Mrs. Dean (Myrtle Davenne) Glandt, Cheyenne.

In 1937 Mr. Wilson moved his family to Lusk where he opened a plumbing and heating business. In 1957 he built a new shop on Lusk's Main Street and continued this business operation actively assisted by his wife until his death.

Mr. Wilson had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge since 1910. He was a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge and in 1947 was granted the degree of the Royal Arch and became a Shriner.

His parents and all brothers and sisters died previously. He is survived by his wife and children, 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
