Mrs. Williams Dies Here Sunday

Mrs. Leonard Williams, 54, mother of 12 children, died Sunday in the Spencer Hospital from a heart condition. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Peet Chapel with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

A quartet composed of Mrs. Otha Holcomb, Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Carl Peterson, sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "In The Garden," and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.

Pallbearers were Leonard, Basil, Harold, Melvin, Robert and Donnie Williams, all sons of the deceased.

Essie Holloway was born October 24, 1903 in Missouri, the daughter of Samuel and Jewel Holloway. She married Leonard Williams July 2, 1925.

The family made their home in the Kirtley community until 1933 when they moved to Lusk.

Survivors include her husband, nine sons and two daughters. One son, Jimmy previously died. The sons are; Leonard, Kimball, Neb., Basil, Anaconda, Mont., Harold, Sterling, Colo., Melvin, Los Angeles; Robert, Walden, Colo.; Donnie, Larry, Terry and Gary of the family home. The daughters are Shirley and Carol of the family home. Two brothers, Marion Holloway of Missouri, and Vern Holloway of Oregon, and three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Rasher, and Mrs. Orville Goldburg of California, and Mrs. Bertha Benson of Lincoln, also survive.

Her parents died previously.
